“2025—Is This Your Last Chance to
Claim the Solar Tax Credit?”

with all the details…
If you’ve been thinking about going solar—or making any clean energy upgrade—2025 may be your last real chance to claim the 30% federal Residential Clean Energy Credit (RCEC).
Thanks to a major new law just signed on July 4th, the RCEC is being cut short. While it was originally set to phase out gradually through 2034, under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, it will now end December 31, 2025.
That means:
- You can still get the full 30% tax credit—but only if your system is installed and placed in service by year-end
- Miss the deadline by even one day, and you could lose everything
- The credit applies to homeowners and renters—but only if you live in the home
This isn’t just about solar panels. It also includes:
- Geothermal heat pumps
- Solar water heaters
- Small wind turbines
- Other clean energy systems

The clock is ticking—and once it strikes midnight on December 31, the opportunity is gone.
