How to deduct the cost of your new business vehicle

September 2, 2015

What are our lawmakers in Congress up to these days?

Not much. For example, they haven’t decided yet whether or not they’ll retroactively enact bonus depreciation and the higher Section 179 expensing limits for 2015 purchases.

But lawmaker’s inactivity shouldn’t keep you from buying a new vehicle for your business right now. It really might not pay to wait for Congress to get off the dime.

Why? You’ll get the good news when you read my new article titled Tax Tips: Want a Big Deduction for Your New Vehicle? Here’s Good News.

Three ways our fact-filled article can help you:

  1. We’ll explain why it makes sense to buy your vehicle now. Even if lawmakers don’t pass the 2015 tax extenders package, you can still come out a winner. In fact, it may not matter at all what Congress decides. We’ll give you all the details when you read the full article.
  2. You’ll learn how quickly you can depreciate your vehicle. Depreciation deductions depend on your vehicle’s weight. But we think you’ll be surprised at how fast any business vehicle can be depreciated. You’ll get the whole story when you read the full article.
  3. We’ll provide charts and tables that can help you make smart decisions. Yes. Trying to understand relevant tax law is difficult. That’s why we did all the hard work up front and created charts and tables that make everything understandable at a glance. You’ll get a chance to check them out when you read the full article.
